Espresso Alchemy (海港城店) has quickly become a favorite for many, thanks to its vibrant atmosphere and exceptional dining options. Nestled in the bustling Harbour City, this coffee shop offers a delightful mix of casual lunch options that are both healthy and indulgent. Alice Law praises the Pesto Marinated Chicken Breast Salad, highlighting its generous portion size and flavor, thanks to a tangy lemon vinaigrette that beautifully complements the tender, juicy chicken. The Mushroom Cream Risotto also garners attention, though some diners wish for a stronger truffle flavor.
The ambiance, however, receives mixed reviews. While some, like Hans Christian Lehmann Plett, appreciate the beautiful presentations and the attention to detail in their dishes, others like Jason McGray find it lacks the intimacy typical of a coffee shop due to its storefront layout. Nevertheless, the delicious offerings, including standout items like the Homemade Herbed Beef Burger and Tiger Prawns and Thai Asparagus Spaghetti, make it worth the visit.
With an extensive selection of beverages, including a rich Ice Uji Ceremonial Matcha Latte, Espresso Alchemy successfully captures the hearts of food enthusiasts. Coupled with its affordable lunch sets, it's clear why patrons recommend this spot for a delightful meal amidst the city hustle.

This is one of my favourite places for a causal lunch with girls ⭐ Pesto Marinated Chicken Breast with Salad and Homemade Lemon Vinaigrette Dressing ($89) This has to be girls’ favourite dish as we are always trying to eat healthier yet this salad is in a super big portion so we will still surely get stuffed. The chicken breast is perfectly cooked, tender, and juicy, tastes like it is chicken thigh with the pesto marinade infusing it with a burst of fragrant basil and garlic flavors. The accompanying salad is a refreshing mix of crisp lettuce, cherry tomatoes, sun-dried tomatoes and olives, all tossed in a tangy homemade lemon vinaigrette dressing. The dressing adds a zesty kick that beautifully complements the savory chicken. ⭐ Mushroom Cream, Black Truffle Sauce and Parmesan Cheese Risotto ($108) The creamy texture of the risotto and the earthy aroma of mushrooms dances in your senses. The black truffle sauce isn’t strong enough tho. ⭐ Ice Uji Ceremonial Matcha Latte (set drink $19) HKD 140 p.p for Lunch
A very good experience and worth the small walk through the Kowloon Park and down to the coffee shop. The atmosphere and sound level is not the best, due to it being in a kind of lobby. But this is completely forgotten when you get your food and coffee. The attention to detail and beautiful tasty fresh servings, are some of the best I have had in Hong Kong at this price range. This will definitely become one of my favorite to go places - if they continue this level of quality.
I went here after seeing the pictures but it wasn't what I expected. Essentially a store front with seating in the mall. Disjointed ordering. They make you sit to read the menu then walk over to the storefront to order. It seemed weird and didn't feel like an intimate coffee shop. That being said my latte was great, the matcha latte was good, and I had a steak panini that was pretty good. A little expensive but good.
Having passed by so many times, finally paid them a visit! Food was delish and I also loved the interior design, the lighting also made pics look really good (unlike most restaurants which have weird spot lights that cast strange shadows across your face)! They also offer lunch sets that include regular size single origin brew coffee or you can +HKD 10 to choose other drinks, which is such a bargain considering their food quality and portion size Homemade Herbed Beef Burger with Truffled Mayo sauce 自家製香草漢堡配黑松露沙律醬HKD 118 We were amazed by the size of the burger!! It was huge!! The bun was nicely toasted and super fluffy! The beef patty was super thick, not chewy at all, and break apart super easily as you bite into it. Super sauce with the truffle Mayo, and the onion slices, tomato slices and lettuce made it very refreshing at the same time. Would recommend Tiger Prawns and Thai asparagus Spaghetti inSpicy Tomato Sauce 香煎虎蝦配蘆筍辣蕃茄汁意粉HKD 123 Came with three large tiger prawns, super fresh with a bouncy texture and well seasoned as well! I loved the sauce as well, the spicy kick made it different from your everyday tomato sauce pasta. The asparagus also added a refreshing touch Pesto Chicken, Mozzarella Cheese and Tomato Panini 青醬烤雞意大利三文治HKD 69 This tasted so good!! The pesto gave it a unique flavour and the chicken was probably poached or sous vide, every piece was super tender! Together with the cheese, tomato slices and toasty soft panini bun, it was the ultimate combo! And quite healthy too! Earl grey chocolate (with almond milk +2) HKD 43 Hard to find a place that charge so little for non-dairy milk options, so I was very happy with the price point for my almond milk. And who else loves the combo of earl grey and chocolate!!! I think it’s the best Homemade blueberry and walnut loaf cake HKD 31 And well, of course, we must end a delightful meal on a sweet note
It’s been a while since we last gone on cafe hopping. The matcha latte was rich in taste, and the fish burger was delicious. The French toast was my favourite out of all items, and the keto roll cake also worths a try.
The risotto is perfectly cooked, achieving just the right balance of stickiness and creaminess. The rice is infused with a rich, cheesy flavor, while the salmon complements it beautifully. Adding mushrooms would elevate the dish to perfection for me. The wrap is excellent, featuring high-quality fried fish encased in a delicate, crispy outer layer. It would be ideal if I could add my preferred sauce, making it even more enjoyable.
Alchemy is across from our hotel. The cap is very smooth. The interior is calming with jazz piped in music. Alchemy uses Loveramics porcelain which you can purchase in HK.
always our one of favorites cafe in Hong Kong, their coffee has been rewarded for the world’s 100 best coffee !!!
